BACKGROUND
This existing primary containment area was prepared and coated with ES-4025 DLX Fast Set, polyurea based elastomer coating system.
INSTALLATION
Approximately 6,000 square feet of contact surface area was water blasted to remove all contaminants.
Construction joints and random cracks were ground out and filled using ES-1945 sealant.
Entire surface area was primed using ES-3000 primer (IsoPrime) at an average of 5 wet mils and allowed to cure prior to installation of protective coating.
The containment tank was spray coated with ES-4025 DLX at 60 mils using a dual component, high pressure (3000 psi), heated (165?F) pump system.
? Re-opened to operation 3 hours after application.
