GatorHyde LP

 CASE HISTORY:

  • A contracting company located in the Oklahoma City area was looking for a coating system, which would provide a good wearing surface that was also non-skid.
  • The contractor had several new trailers to coat as well as many older ones.
  • The contractor had a limited amount of time in which each trailer could be out of operation.
  • GatorHyde LP was chosen because if its rapid cure time and excellent non-skid qualitites.
  • A local contractor coated several trailers such as the one in this picture. The equipment used for this project, was a Condor Plural Component Pump, manufactured by Elastomer Specialties, Inc.
  • This project took place in July of 2001.

 MATERIAL:
  • Primer specified - ChemLoc 213 Manufactured by Lord Chemical Co.
  • Coating specified - GatorHyde LP Color - Black
 INSTALLATION:
  • All the utility trailer beds were first sand-blasted to remove all rust, oil and debris.
  • Once the sand-blasting had been completed and the wooded rails removed, the edges of the trailer were masked off using wire trim tape for easy removal.
