The pictures and accounts presented on the following pages portray Harding ESE/MACTEC Constructors, Inc. (MACTEC) coating operations at their Petaluma, CA plant site. MACTEC is applying polyurea products to pre-cast bridge members for the San Mateo (CA) bridge-widening project. This project is the first of its kind in the nation.

MACTEC has emerged as the premier polyurea applicator, for large-scale coating projects demanding high-volume production. An average work week will see upwards of 40,000 sq. feet of a 4-coat polyurea coatings system applied to various pre-cast concrete members (e.g.: piles, bent caps, girders and deck plates), and this is from MACTEC’S moveable plant.
