  • Vehicle was a 2001 Nissan lightweight pick-up truck.
  • Temperature during application was in the mid 50-degree range.

  • Truck bed was prepared using an orbital sander and then blown clean using high-pressure air.
  • Once prep was completed the entire truck was masked off using wire trim tape and masking paper.

Gatorhyde Truck Bedliner
2001 Nissan with GatoryHyde 50 Bed Liner

 BACKGROUND:
  • Customer previously had another vehicle with a sprayed in Urethane liner and experienced problems with durability. Owner decided to try GatorHyde LP, a low pressure applied polyurea liner with medium stipple texture.
  • Job was completed in late 2001 and is in excellent condition.
  • Application was performed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
 INSTALLATION:
  • The 2001 Nissan was high-pressure washed then using an orbital sander with a medium grit paper, sanded down to the clear coat.
  • The entire truck was then professionally masked off using wire trim tape.
  • Once the preparation process was complete, the rails of the truck and tailgate were primed using IsoPrime II.
  • Due to scheduling, only one truck was to be lined on this specific day therefore it was decided to use GatorHyde cartridges rather than go to the time and expensed of setting up a low pressure pump.
  • Once the project was under way, it took less than 20 minutes to complete the project.
  • GatorHyde LP was applied at a dry film thickness of approximately 3/16 inch. Color was standard black with a medium stipple texture.
