BACKGROUND:
- Several homeowners complained of problems with concrete landing cracking and unsightly appearance.
- Neighborhood located in N.E. Oklahoma had history or soil problems.
- Homeowner representative contacted ESI about the situation looking for a solution.
MATERIAL:
- ES-9500 ElastoKast 95
- 1:1 ratio, hybrid polyurea
- Color: medium gray
- Gel time: 2 minutes, cold applied
- Shore A Hardness: 95A
- Approximately 65 mils in thickness

INSTALLATION:
- Due to the small confined areas in which to work the manufacturer recommended low pressure cartridge application. The "Condor LPS" Plural Component Cartridge Spray System was used to apply the polyurea Coating.
- The specified surface area was properly degreased & acid etched.
- Recommended primer: PoxyPrime H20 - a water based fast drying 2 component epoxy.
- Once applied & allowed to cure (approx. 10 minutes) ElastoKast 95 was installed at a dry film thickness of 65 mils.
- A light stipple was then applied to create a non-skid surface.
- Landings ranged in size from 5' X 15' to 8' X 15'.
- Material was applied at 85 psi.
