Chemical Plant - Primary Containment Anerobic Digester Chemical Waste Water - Bishop, Texas.
Installation Bulletin
BACKGROUND
This anerobic primary containment area (approximately 17,000 S.F.) was shut sown and thoroughly inspected for signs of deterioration. The findings indicated the entire area needed to be repaired and completely relined with a durable protective membrane system. It was determined that ES-4025 DLX was the product of choice for this application.
INSTALLATION
The contact surface area was water blasted to remove all contaminants.
Large bug holes and spalls were filled using fast set cementuous repair mortars.
All the surface areas were primed (including some existing coal tar epoxy) using ES-3000 Primer (IsoPrime) at 5 mils wet and allowed to cure prior to coating installation.
The containment tank was spray coated with ES-4025 DLX at 60 mils to 250 mils, (depending on the severity of degradation), using a dual component, high pressure (3000 psi), heated (165?F) pump system.
Re-opened to operation within 3 hours after application.
